Mt. Yonah Community,
It is my privilege to serve as Principal and parent at Mt. Yonah Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year.
I began teaching in 2006 and served in two different elementary schools in Hall County from 2006-2015. Following an aspiring principal leadership training program, I moved into the role of Assistant Principal in 2015, where I served for 8 years in two different elementary schools in Hall County.
I received my Associate’s Degree from Gainesville College, Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Piedmont College, a Specialist Degree from the University of Georgia with a Children’s Literature focus (GO DAWGS!), an ESOL Endorsement, a Tier II Leadership Add-on from the University of North Georgia, and am currently seeking my Dyslexia Endorsement.
Fun fact - In 2005, I completed my Bachelor’s Degree, which requires a student teaching placement - I was placed at Mt. Yonah Elementary School in 3rd Grade! It feels good to be home!
Roger and I have been married since 2005, and I am the proud boy mom of Nolan and Rhett - currently enrolled at WCMS and MYES.
For the 2024-2025 school year, our staff and the entire Mt. Yonah Community will #B3ARDOWN so our students will RISE UP! As a PBIS school, we are dedicated to fostering an environment where students are respectful, responsible, and ready. Mt. Yonah is an exceptional school with dedicated teachers and a strong, supportive community, each of us has a role to play in ensuring every student can RISE and THRIVE. Mt. Yonah will #B3ARDOWN by working hard, staying focused on our goals, and providing support to uplift all students.
We appreciate the continued support of our Board of Education, Superintendent, family, and community members.
Humbly serving you,
Juliana Dean
